Dan Maes

Daniel B. " Dan " Maes ( born January 12, 1961 in Evergreen, Colorado ) is an American politician.

Maes was the candidate of the Republican party in the gubernatorial elections in the United States in 2010 for the post of Governor of Colorado. He won as a political career changers the primaries on August 10th with 50.6 % to 49.3 % against the long-standing Member of Parliament Scott McInnis. The election itself he finished with 11 percent of the vote to third place behind second placed Tom Tancredo ( 37%) and the winner John Hickenlooper (Democrat, 51%).
