Dana van Dreven

Dana van Dreven (born 9 July 1974 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch hardstyle and hardcore techno DJ. She is known under the name Dana, Lady Dana and DJ Dana.

Life

Van Dreven began her career in 1993. In the beginning they played mainly Gabber under the name Lady Dana, but after some time, she developed her own style. This they developed from 1995 to 2002, created represent a mix of different styles of electronic dance music, which is called Hardstyle today. For several years, Dana van Dreven is known by her pseudonym DJ Dana. Typical of their style that they often mix Techno, Trance and Hardstyle.

Van Dreven could reach through their remix of the Sensation Black Anthems a great notoriety in 2002. In 2004, she reached the 29th place of the " English MixMag List" of the most famous DJs in the world.

Dana van Dreven was twice nominated for an award by the Dutch TV channel TMF; so she took the 4th place in 2004.

In Hardstyle Genre van Dreven is one of the most famous DJs, as it is one of the few women. It is also called " Queen Of Hardstyle " ( Queen of Hard Styles).

Since 2004 van Dreven owns her own record label danamite, which is a sub label of The Third Movement.
