Dani Klein

Dani Klein ( born January 1, 1953 as Danielle Schoovaerts ) is a Belgian singer.

Dani Klein began her career as a background singer for some Flemish bands - including the electronic project There have Knights! with Marcel Vanthilt - before her with the first single "Just A Friend Of Mine " their common band Vaya Con Dios ( Spanish for " Go with God " ) succeeded in 1987 together with Dirk Schoufs (bass) and Willy Lambregt ( lead guitar ), the breakthrough. As a result, the band had international success with titles like " Do not Cry For Louie ", " Nah Neh Nah " and " What's A Woman".

After some time, began a constant change in band members, only Dani Klein was there from the beginning. One of her most painful moments, the early, unexpected death of their bassist and good friend Dirk Schoufs in 1991, they processed musically mostly in the album Time Flies. Despite this, however, the singer eventually lost through the ever changing band members and the identification and motivation, so they finished the project in 1996 after ten successful and eventful years. Only in 2004 she produced with "The Promise" again " Vaya Con Dios " album.

In between, in 1999, Dani Klein had recorded an album called "Purple Prose " with a new, eponymous band.

In March 2013, the band Vaya Con Dios with Dani Klein and two concerts in Bucharest, the farewell tour started, with completion in December 2013, Vilnius and Tallinn.
