Daniel Atienza

Daniel Atienza Urendez ( born September 22, 1974 in Moudon / Switzerland ) is a former Spanish cyclist.

Daniel Atienza was a professional cyclist from 1997 by 2005. He began his career with the team Polti. After three years he moved to Saeco, where he Rominger Classic won in his first year. He also competed in the Tour de France, which he finished as 29th. In 2001, he started again in the Tour and was 30th overall. On his third tour - participation in 2002, he was forced to retire early. In 2003 he moved to the French team Cofidis. At the Tour de Romandie 2005, Atienza eighth in the final classification.

Five times Atienza launched also at the Vuelta a España: 2001, he was ranked 48, 2002 Rank 28 2003 Rank 32 2004 Rank 25, and 2005 rank 16 His only participation in the Giro d' Italia in 2005, he finished with 14 place in the overall standings.
