Life

The age of four, his artistic talent was that he portrayed in detail many objects of his environment. At age 16 he received his first job as a graphic artist and animation designer in an advertising agency. During the following years he was, among other basic school supplies.

In 1976 he moved from Argentina to Barcelona to work at major publishing house Bruguera. In 1977 he moved to Bardon Art, where his collaboration with the publishing house Egmont began.

From 1982 to 1984 he studied art and painting in Paris, where he also had several exhibitions. During this time, he designed no new ducks drawings, like Donald Duck, but found his motifs in Christian iconography and the Art Nouveau style.

In 1984 he moved to Mallorca and continued his work on the ducks away. But he also painted still professional and exhibited his works in galleries.

Branca's favorite characters were Scrooge McDuck and Magica de Spell. The former, because he always pushes through his avarice new stories, the latter because it has the only female Disney character in his opinion, a touch of sensuality.
