Daniel Gildenlöw

Daniel Gildenlöw ( born June 5, 1973 in Eskilstuna, Sweden) is a Swedish musician and songwriter. In addition Gildenlöw is the main founder of the Swedish progressive metal band Pain of Salvation, where he has worked as a second guitarist and singer. In Pain of Salvation he writes a lot of the songs and thinks in so far every album the band from the concept. In addition, he produced and mixed the album in his home studio itself and is also responsible for the cover artwork of the albums. In addition, Daniel was Gildenlöw temporarily a member of the progressive rock band The Flower Kings, but eventually left the band due to personal matters.

Life

In 1984, Daniel Gildenlöw at the age of eleven years in his hometown of Eskilstuna band Reality. Although the cast constantly changed was the band made ​​a long time. After about seven years in 1991 Gildenlöw came up with the idea to rename the band Pain of Salvation, as it this name was more than reality.

In 1997 Gildenlöw released his first album with Pain of Salvation, Entropia. In 2002, he initially worked as a guest musician on the album " Unfold The Future " by the band The Flower Kings. Private life

Daniel Gildenlöw is married to Johanna Gildenlöw, born Iggsten. In 2006 they had a son. He also has a brother, Kristoffer Gildenlöw, who played as a bassist with Pain of Salvation.
