Daniel Merriweather

Daniel Paul Merriweather ( born February 17, 1982 in Melbourne) is an Australian R & B singer.

Life

Merriweather grew up in the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne. He attended the Patch Primary School, Billanook College, Blackburn High School and Swinburne Senior Secondary College. His musical education began with violin lessons in classes for children with lower income. After school, he devoted himself to continue the music.

Music

Merriweather 's first commercially released recording was All I Want in 2002. 2003 was followed by a guest appearance on Mark Ronson's album Here Comes The Fuzz ( She's Got Me). His solo debut single City Rules was released in early 2004, produced by Mark Ronson.

In 2007, Merriweather and Ronson the title Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This Before ( originally by The Smiths ) on. The single was released as a pre-release version of Ronson's solo album and had great commercial success.

In June 2009, published his album Daniel Merriweather Love & War, the first single change he presented the BBC Radio 1 show from Chris Moyles in December 2008 with a live band. Change could place already in the top ten in the UK charts in February 2009.

Among his most important musical influences counts Daniel Merriweather Stevie Wonder, Prince, Jeff Buckley, Alan Hawkshaw and Herbie Hancock.
