Daniel Patrick Reilly

Daniel Patrick Reilly ( born May 12, 1928 in Providence ) is retired bishop of Worcester.

Life

Daniel Patrick Reilly received on 30 May 1953, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Providence.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on June 5, 1975 Bishop of Norwich.

The Archbishop of Hartford John Francis Whealon consecrated him on 6 August of the same year the bishop; Were co-consecrators Vincent Joseph Hines, retired bishop of Norwich, and Louis Edward Gelineau, Bishop of Providence.

On October 27, 1994, he was appointed Bishop of Worcester and introduced into the office on 8 November of that year. On 9 March 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation due to age.
