Daniil Apalkov

Daniil Jurjewitsch Apalkow (Russian Даниил Юрьевич Апальков; * January 1, 1992 in Magnitogorsk ) is a Russian ice hockey player who stands since 2011 to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Wysschaja Hockey League contract.

Career

Daniil Apalkow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk, for the second team, he was active from 2007 to 2009 in the third-class Perwaja league. In the 2009/10 season the defender made ​​his debut for the junior team of the club, Stalnyje Lissy Magnitogorsk, in the newly established multinational junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja league in which he and his team won the Kharlamov Cup straight away. For this success he contributed with 40 points scorers, including 21 goals, in 50 games. In the season 2010/11 he also came to his debut for the first team Metallurg in the Kontinental Hockey League, but remained no points in its eight missions and was awarded two penalty minutes while he continued to play in parallel in the MHL team.

The 2011/12 season began Apalkow first in the MHL team Stalnyje Lissy Magnitogorsk, where he served as team captain, but moved in the rest of the season to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, which in the second-rate Wysschaja Hockey League launched a fresh start after the plane crash near Yaroslavl. He also came to some inserts for the MHL team Loko Yaroslavl.

Internationally

For Russia Apalkow took part in the Under-18 Junior World Cup in 2010 and the U20 World Youth Championship in 2012. In the 2012 U20 World Championships, he won the silver medal with his team.
