Daniil Lintchevski

Daniil Lvovitch Lintschewski (Russian Даниил Львович Линчевский, the World Chess Federation FIDE Daniil Lintchevski; born 17 May 1990 in Gatchina ) is a Russian chess player.

Career

Lintschewski grew up in Gatchina. The chess game his father at the age of five years broke with him. He was initially managed by a friend of his father and then by GM Valery Popov. Even in adolescence Lintschewski could produce significant results. He placed fifth, level on points with the bronze medalist Vüqar Rəsulov, at the European Under-16 Championship 2006 in Herceg Novi. Also in 2006, he finished behind Ivan Popov and Jan Nepomnjaschtschi third place in the international youth tournament in Kirishi. The following year he was Russian U18 Champion.

2008 and 2012 he won the victory in the championships of the Federal District North-West Russia. In March 2009 he was appointed Grand Master, and shortly thereafter the Master of Sports of Russia. The standards for his GM title he achieved at the 2008 European Championship in Plovdiv and in the Russian championship in Novokuznetsk. Chess club played Lintschewski for Grifon (Saint Petersburg ) in Russia and for the Club Chess Beer Sheva in Israel.

In 2007 he won the victory at FINEC tournament with IM- norm in Saint Petersburg. Other successes at the international level were the 2nd - 4th Place at FINEC 2009 A tournament, 1st place in the Open Championship in Latvia 2009 ( Pļaviņas ), 2nd - 12th Place in Oberwart 2010, 4th - 12th Place at the Minsk Open 2010 and 3rd place at the Chigorin Memorial Tournament 2011 (Saint Petersburg ).

With his Elo rating of 2528 (February 2013) Lintschewski leads the sovereign ranking in the Leningrad Oblast to. His previous highest Elo rating was 2575 November 2011-February 2012.
