Schauernheim is a municipality and as the administrative seat of the homonymous municipality in the Rhineland-Palatinate, Rhein- Pfalz-Kreis. It is located southwest of Ludwigshafen in the front- Palatinate Rhine valley.

Geography

Schauernheim is about 12 km west of Ludwigshafen am Rhein, about 15 km west of the Rhine (Konrad - Adenauer bridge between Ludwigshafen and Mannheim) and about 15 km north of Speyer. Direct neighboring towns are

History of Dannstadt

Dannstadt was probably founded in the 7th century by Frankish settlers and for the first time. Document of the monastery in a white castle to be allocated no later than the year 767, as " Dendestat ", then mentioned in June 769 in the Lorsch Codex as " Dandestat "

Dialect

Traffic

Between the hamlets Dannstadt and showers home through the A 65 runs over a bridge connecting the two towns. The A65 leads in an easterly direction to Ludwigshafen, in a southwesterly direction to Neustadt on the Wine Route and Landau.
