Danny Cipriani

Daniel Jerome Cipriani (born 2 November 1987 in London ) is an English rugby union player. He plays as a connector or goalkeeper for the English national team and the London Wasps. He is considered one of the greatest talents of the country.

Career

Cipriani began at the age of nine with the rugby sport. With the U19 national team of England he could win the world title twice. In 2003 he was transferred to the Academy of Wasps, where he remained until the 2006/07 season. With the completion of his schooling, he could also be used in the Guinness Premiership. In January 2007 he stood for the first time in the starting lineup of the club and was determined after an attempt against the Worcester Warriors player of the game. Since these ideas he is in England under large observation since the actually set connector Jonny Wilkinson after numerous injuries is rarely operational.

The year 2007 closed with Cipriani from winning the Heineken Cup and the Churchill Cup. In the following, he was part of the training squad ahead of the World Cup. Ultimately, he made his international debut until the Six Nations in 2008, when he came off the bench in the game against Wales. In the further course of the tournament, he came down also to its first use in the starting lineup. In the match against Ireland he replaced Wilkinson, who had to take the first time on the bench after years.

Due to a serious ankle injury he incurred in the semifinals of the English Championship, Cipriani fell from almost five months and was able to play for the club again until October 2008. In the November internationals, he was one in three of four games to the root formation. In a game against the Northampton Saints in October 2009, he retired to a hairline crack in the fibula and fell for two months. In February 2010, the Wasps announced that Cipriani will leave the club at the end of the season. Since 2011 he plays for the Melbourne Rebels, a newly formed Australian franchise team in the expanded Super 14 on 25 February 2011, he scored in the match against the Brumbies Canberra the first points of his newly formed teams ever and also contributed converted a penalty kick significantly to the first victory of the team from Melbourne in the final minute.

From September 2008 to June 2010 Cipriani had a highly regarded relationship with actress Kelly Brook.
