Danny Tiatto

Daniele Amadeo " Danny" Tiatto ( May 22nd, 1973 in Werribee ) is an Australian football player who has an Italian passport and is active at Queensland Roar in Australia. Until 2005 he was a player of the Australian national football team.

Career

As a teenager Tiatto played at the Bulleen Lions from Melbourne. He then moved to the Melbourne Knights and played there for two years, where he won two Australian championships with his team. In 1996 he signed a contract with Italian club Salernitana sport from series B. In 1997 he moved to Switzerland to FC Baden and was awarded in 1998 at Stoke City in England. His best time experienced Tiatto at Manchester City, where he played for five years and 139 games completed. From 2003 to 2007 he was at Leicester City under contract, before joining in the summer of 2007 returned to Australia to Queensland Roar. In 2008 he was voted the best player of the club.

For the Australian national football team Tiatto played 23 times and was able to win the 1996 and 2000 OFC Nations Cup. He also represented his country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
