Dara Ó Briain

Dara Ó Briain ( born February 4, 1972 in Bray, County Wicklow ) is an Irish stand-up comedian and television presenter.

Life

Ó Briain was born in 1972 in Bray, County Wicklow in Ireland. He attended a Catholic boys' school in Dublin and later studied mathematics and theoretical physics at University College Dublin. At this time, he participated with great success at the debating society and produced the university newspaper. After graduating, he worked as a moderator of children's and family programs for the public radio station RTÉ. After a few years he began as a stand -up comedian to tour Europe and became increasingly in the English-speaking world known and successful so that he now often completed over a hundred and fifty performances a tour.

Since 2006 he performs in the documentary series Three Men in a Boat. He is known in the UK as well as co- presenter of the TV shows The Panel and Mock the Week.
