Darb-e Imam

The Darb -e Imam shrine (Persian امامزاده درب امام ), located in the district Dardasht of Isfahan in Iran, a funeral complex with a cemetery, shrine buildings and hofähnlichen systems, the different construction periods and styles is inherent. The first buildings were built by Jalal al -Din Safarshah during the reign of Shah Jahan, a representative of the Turkmen tribal federation Qara Qoyunlu, in 1453.

The plant has recently become particularly important, as is herein recognized and published the novel, targeted implementation of self-similar patterns using the elements of the 300 year old girih tiles by Peter Lu. The topic is found only about 500 years later in independently elaborated insights as to fractal structures and specifically to Penrose tiling again, which was published in 1974.
