Darband Cave

The Darband Cave is a cave in the province of Gilan in the western Alborz Mountains. It contains the first known evidence of altpaläolithisches cave life in Iran. A collection of stone artefacts and fauna remnants was captured by a group of Iranian archaeologists from the Center for Paleolithic Research of the Iranian National Museum and Ichto (Iran Cultural Heritage & Tourism Organization) of Gilan.
