Darda (toy)
Darda Motor is the name for a toy race track system, consisting of toy model cars with wind-up and matching orbital elements.
Darda Motor
The toy cars and the racetrack were developed by Helmut Darda ( 1927-2013 ). Before all the cars are known for their Aufziehmotors, they can be put on backwards and forwards and can drive off. The motor for the toy cars, a spring blowing factory, was developed in 1970 by Helmut Darda and 1984 at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office ( DPMA) applied for a patent and protected as a patent. The name " Darda " in 1970 registered as word and figurative mark for the brothers Burkhard and Gerhard Darda, the sons of Helmut Darda, the German Patent and Trademark Office.
From 1971 to about 1993, the products of the company Helmut Darda Toys and Maschinenbau GmbH in Blumberg / Black Forest were manufactured and sold under the name " Darda Motor ". In 1993, the system was sold to the company " Life-Like Products LLC. " From the United States and moved production to China. Sales in Europe were "toys Handels GmbH GWH " adopted by the and in the U.S. by the " DARDA Incorporated ". In the U.S. and Canada, however, the products were sold under the name Darda. 2005 bought the " Wm K. Walthers Incorporated " the model railway and toy field of Life-Like Products LLC. and thus also took Darda Motor. 1999 Darda Motor products in Europe by the distributor were " SIMM Marketing GmbH" sold. 2009 bought the sales company of Wm K. Walthers Darda Motor Inc.
Product range
The vehicles at a scale of 1:60 consist of a base plate, a sitting area, a metal chassis, a front axle as well as the forward and reverse wind-up replacement engine. The range extends from Beach Buggy on all-terrain vehicles, race cars up to the truck. The original Darda cars had an injection molding structure and a fairly solid plastic chassis. There is also a railway system from plastic rails in various lengths with steep curves that snaps together variable. A Darda railway works without electricity, through the motor vehicles but so fast that they can create multiple loops. The tracks have been largely supplanted in recent years by the toy cars Hot Wheels brand.
