Dargoleza

Dargoleza ( German Dargeröse ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the Gmina Główczyce ( Glowitz ) in the powiat Słupski ( Stolp ).

Geographical location

Dargoleza located in Pomerania, about 36 km east-northeast of the city of Slupsk, 18 kilometers northwest of the city Lebork and 4.5 kilometers north of the village Stowięcino.

History

The formerly Dargherese and Dargorese called manor was in 1487 in possession of Tetzlaw Damerow on Dargeröse and dams. Then it became a fief of the Podewils family and since 1535 the Zastrow family, was a resident there until the 17th century. The village was then bought by Kaspar Otto von Massow, Minister of State and Governor- of Pomerania and remained for generations in the possession of his family. In 1777 it was acquired by Moritz Heinrich von Weiher. Around the year 1784 there were in the village a Vorwerk, six farmers, three Kossäten, a blacksmith, a schoolmaster and a total of 13 households. In 1796 Dargeröse and Zezenow came as a dowry of Dorothea Charlotte Herring, daughter of a big merchant, in the possession of Kaspar Wilhelm von Zitzewitz. Owned by the family Zitzewitz the village then remained until the regulation of peasant and landlord relations in 1823 when the agricultural use of land in part were suitable to the farmers.

Since mid- August 1897 Dargeröse was connected to the stumbling circular path and had its own railway station. Next to the station was built in 1904 Dargeröses first inn. In 1925, 30 houses were in Dargeröse. In 1929, the formerly independent neighboring village Prependow was incorporated, and the congregation has since had two Dargeröse Locations:

  • Dargeröse
  • Prependow

Before 1945 Dargeröse belonged to the district of Zezenow district Stolp, administrative region of Pomerania, Pomerania. The municipality area was a total of 1,230 hectares. 1939 were counted 89 households and 372 inhabitants.

The goods Dargeröse and Prependow, which included 1093 acres of land, remained until 1945 owned by the Zitzewitz family. Among the owners of 1909 levied a Count Wilhelm von Zitzewitz had a higher level of awareness, which, however, did not live in Dargeröse, but in Zezenow. On December 23, 1918, he left Dargeröse his son Wilhelm Siegfried von Zitzewitz. After the death of his father in 1925 Wilhelm Siegfried von Zitzewitz moved to Zezenow, where he remained until the 1945 invasion of the Russians. His Country Estate in Dargeröse and Prependow he was administered by a bailiff.

Towards the end of World War II Dargeröse was occupied on March 9, 1945 by the Red Army and soon found it under Polish administration. On June 1, 1945, a Polish administrative office was einrichtetet in the village. Later, all the inhabitants were expelled. In the Federal Republic of Germany later 142 and sold in the GDR from Dargeröse 127 villagers were determined.

In the year 2006 180 inhabitants were counted in Dargoleza.
