Darius Miles

Darius VaVar Miles ( born October 9, 1981 in Belleville, Illinois ) is a retired American professional basketball player. He played on the positions of the shooting guard the small forward and power forward.

After he was able to achieve in his last year of high school average of 22.1 points, 12.4 rebounds, 7.4 blocks, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals, he became the youngest player in NBA Draft 2000 to third place by the Los Angeles Clippers selected. For his achievements in the first year as a pro Miles All- Rookie First Team in 2001 in the NBA appointed. He remained until 2002, when the Clippers, then moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers and went to another two years to Portland at the Portland Trail Blazers, where he had his athletic best time. On 30 January, he was then still for the rest of the NBA season 2008/ 09 committed, even though the Blazers threatened with a lawsuit. The reason is that it has to pay a high salary his former team, the salary cap is charged to Portland, if he can complete a certain number of games. Miles yet signed a contract for the rest of the season with the Grizzlies. However, after the season he was no longer a team.

Miles is also an actor. In 2004, he starred in Party Animals - ... wilder it gets! a smaller, as well as in The Perfect Score a bigger role.
