Dark Eyes (song)

Black eyes ( чёрные Russian Очи transcribed Otschi tschornyje ) is one of the most famous Russian songs. The lyrics came from a poem by the Ukrainian writer and poet Yevhen Hrebinka (Russian Yevgeny Grebjonka ), which was published on January 17, 1843 for the first time in the literature Gazeta. The melody comes from, otherwise often than expected, not a gypsy, but from the play homage Valse Opus 21 of the German Florian Hermann ( in a processing Gerdels p ), which was published on 7 March 1884.
