Darlene Hooley

Darlene Kay Olson Hooley ( born April 4, 1939 in Williston, Williams County, North Dakota) is an American politician. Between 1997 and 2009, she represented the fifth electoral district of the state of Oregon in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

At the age of eight years came Darlene Olson, as her maiden name, with her ​​parents in Salem, Oregon, where she attended Salem Academy. She then moved to Pasadena Nazarene College in California. Upon her return she studied until 1961 at the University of Oregon. Between 1961 and 1975 she worked as a teacher. Hooley was a member of the Democratic Party. Between 1977 and 1980 she was a member of the city council of West Linn and 1980 to 1986 she was a Member of the House of Representatives from Oregon. Then they belonged between 1986 and 1996 at the county council in Clackamas County.
