Darling Violetta

Darling Violetta is an American band from Los Angeles, California. A characteristic feature of their music is a combination of a dark, atmospheric dream pop with modern rock music and occasional cello deposits.

The band became well-known through the use of one of their songs as the theme song of American television series Angel - Hunters of darkness and by integration of their music in two computer games to role-playing rulebook Vampire: The Masquerade ( Redemption ( 2000), Bloodlines (2004 ) ).

History

After they were aware of each other through an ad in a music magazine, Cami Elen and Jymm Thomas first began as a duo in coffee houses and perform at Open stage to show off some self-written pieces. When they had collected enough usable songs, they began looking for other musicians, they also found with drummer Steve McManus and bassist Atto Attie, and then formed the band Darling Violetta. The band's name refers to the salutation with Bela Lugosi 's letters ushered to his beloved Violetta Napierska. In the absence of a second guitarist, they added to their line-up yet, add the cellist Gerri Sutyak.

In February 1998 the debut album Bath Water Flowers, which was initially subsequently marketed by the band itself and the Californian label Opaline Records appeared.
