Darliston is a country town in the southwest of Jamaica. The town is located in County Cornwall in the Parish Westmoreland. In 2010 Darliston had a population of 1582 people

Geography

Darliston is on a 420 meters high on average Plato in Cornwall Mountains. The area, which is located around the place alternates between cultivated land and forest and lies for the most part at a constant height. The Plato is surrounded by higher elevations, which are up to 650 meters above sea level.

The town lies about 16 kilometers northeast of Savanna- la -Mar, the capital of Westmoreland Parish. The next settlements are the small villages of Chilton and Enfield located about 3 km south. At the same distance, but located to the west, lies the village of Clifton.

Transport and the economy
