The Office Darß / fish country lies in the district of Vorpommern - Rügen in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). In office Darß / fish country, the six municipalities Ahrenshoop, Born Darß, Dierhagen, Prerow, Wieck have joined Darß and Wustrow to perform their administrative business. The administrative headquarters is located in Born Darß.

The office area includes the fish country and Darß Peninsula with the exception of the community Zingst. The north and west of the Office bordering the Baltic Sea, the south is bordered by a narrow isthmus at Dierhagen to the Saal Bodden. Southwest of the Office is the city of Rostock. The Office is located largely in the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park.

Economically only tourism is worth mentioning also the fishing industry plays a certain role. Larger industrial settlements do not exist. Through the Office Darß / fish country lead no federal roads. The Office, however, about the cities Ribnitz Damgarten and Barth traffic well connected (both on the B 105). To the south and southwest run the highways 19 and 20 south of the Office is located in the Baltic Sea airport Stralsund Barth.
