Daryl Hall

Daryl Hall ( born October 11, 1946 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania as Daryl Franklin Hollow) is an American singer. He is one half of the duo Hall & Oates.

Life

Hall was in his childhood strongly influenced by his mother from the music of Frank Sinatra. Mid-1960s, Hall began to study at Temple University in Philadelphia. Daryl Hall collected 1966-67 first live and board experience in Philadelphia as a member of the band "The Temptones ", the two singles ( "Girl I Love You ", " Say These Words Of Love" ) published. As students of Temple University Daryl Hall and John Oates met in 1967 know at performances of both bands in the Adelphi Ballroom in Philadelphia. Daryl's first solo singles were recorded in 1968, " The Princess and the Soldier " and "A Lonely Girl." He then joined briefly in the band " Pal and The Prophets ". He had a rather dubious first chart success in 1969 as a studio keyboard player for the band "The Electric Indian ", which reached the 16th place in the U.S. charts with the instrumental " Keem -O- Sabe ". Daryl Hall later said of this title "probably the worst record ever made in history" ( " probably the worst record recording of history" ).
