Geography

Dättlikon as is the westernmost village of the district of Winterthur on the southern slope of Irchel. Thanks to a mild climate, long hours of sunshine and the quiet location Dättlikon is an attractive place to live. The municipality also includes the incurred after the melioration in the 1970s, new settlements Böckli, Deller and Blumetshalden by the Töss.

The former thoroughfare after Freistein is closed to car traffic, so that the village is a popular recreation area for cyclists and walkers the Winterthur region. Dättlikon is a popular starting point for the ascent of Irchel. By car you reach over Pfungen in 15 minutes to the center of Winterthur or 20 minutes to the Zurich airport.

The usually hourly bus service runs within 25 minutes to the Winterthur main station.

Education

Dättlikon has been involved since the beginning of 2004/2005 at the basic level test of the Canton of Zurich.
