Dave Berg (cartoonist)

David Dave Berg ( born June 12, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York, † 16 May 2002, Marina del Rey, California ) was an American cartoon and comic artist.

Mountain was drawing working from 1940 and worked for various publishers; as he was, among other background artist for Will Eisner's The Spirit. From 1945 to 1958 he worked for Marvel Comics on various (eg Combat Kelly). However, a larger audience, he was only through his work on the magazine Mad known ( from Issue No. 34 ), where he created the series The Lighter Side (referred to in the German Mad The Great MAD- report), the satirical grappled with various everyday topics.
