Dave Morrison (ice hockey)
Dave Morrison ( born June 12, 1962 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player and current amateur scout for the Toronto Maple Leafs. During his playing career he was active in sports, both in the National Hockey League as well as in the German Ice Hockey League.
Career
Morrison began his career with the Peterborough Petes, for whom he first played in the OHA and then in the OHL 1979-1982. Before the start of the NHL 1981/82 took him the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL under contract, who had selected him in the NHL Entry Draft in 1980 in the second round to 34th position. They first put him in the American Hockey League with their farm team, the New Haven Nighthawks, one, however, was after eight games during the current season 1983/84 committed by the Vancouver Canucks, for their farm team, the Fredericton Express, it aground to 1986. During this time he came in addition between 1980-1983 with the Los Angeles Kings and for the season 1984/85 for the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL used.
After Germany he moved in 1986 to the EV Stuttgart in the league, with whom he still rising in the same 1986/87 season in the 2nd Bundesliga. After moving to the second division season 1989/90 to EC Ratingen, for whom he played 50 games in two seasons, he was lured away from the EC Kassel. For the Kassel Hockey Club for the time being he ran on from 1991 to 1993 and obtained in 100 games total 170 points scorer. He was then obliged by the first division of Berlin Polar Bears Due to its considerable achievements.
At the start of the German Ice Hockey League, as well as the Kassel Huskies were top notch, Morrison returned to Kassel. He played there until the 1996/97 season and won with the " Huskies " the German vice-championship. For the following two seasons, he could be committed by the Manchester Storm, finished after his contract end then, however, his career as a professional player.
Currently, Dave Morrison amateur scout is at the Toronto Maple Leafs.
