David Auradou

David Auradou ( born November 13, 1973 in Harfleur, Seine- Maritime ) is a French rugby union player. He plays at the position of the second row striker for the club Stade Français Paris in the top league and top 14 for the French national team. At Stade Français, he is also team captain.

With Stade Français David Auradou celebrated many successes. He has been with this team three times champion (2000, 2003, 2004) and won the 1999 Coupe de France. In 2005 he was a finalist Championship, 2001 and 2005, he reached the finals of the Heineken Cup.

Auradou played until now 40 times for the national team. His first international match was on 20 March 1999 against England. He participated in the 1999 World Cup and the 2003 World Cup, where he was employed in one or three games. In the years 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004, he participated in the prestigious Six Nations Championship and managed in 2002 and 2004 with the national team the "Grand Slam" ( wins against all other participating teams).

After the 25:21 semi-final defeat by Stade Français to eventual champions USA Perpignan on May 30, 2009 in Lyon David Auradou ended his active career.
