David Ludovic George Hopetoun "John" Carnegie, 11th Earl of Northesk, Baron Rose Hill, Baron Inglismaldie (* September 24, 1901 in London, † November 7, 1963 in Binfield ) was an elected member of the Scottish peers in the House of Lords. He was known primarily as an athlete.

John Carnegie was the son of David Carnegie, 10th Earl of Northesk and Elizabeth Boyle Hallowes. He succeeded his father on December 5, 1921 as Earl of Northesk. From 1921 to 1923 he served in the Coldstream Guards. During World War II he served in the rank of major in a spy unit. Later, he was next to his service as a Member Farmer. He died childless. His successor as Earl of Northesk was his cousin John Carnegie, 12th Earl of Northesk.

As an athlete, Carnegie was one of the most successful Cresta riders of his time. As in 1928 in St. Moritz Olympic competitions were held for the first time in skeleton, he was considered a big favorite. A week before the Games, he set a new record Cresta. However, during the first Olympic race he made a mistake and finished only third, the brothers Jennison and John Heaton placed before him.
