David Carter (Golfer)

David Carter ( born June 16, 1972 in Johannesburg ) is an English professional golfer on the European Tour.

Career

Carter 1989 professional golfer. After several unsuccessful attempts, he won the Tour School and qualified for the European Tour's season 1995.

In March 1997, he collapsed in a hotel in Dubai and owes his life to only one immediate emergency surgery on the brain.

His return in 1998 was impressive: he won the prestigious Murphy's Irish Open in play-off against the Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie exception and finished the season in 19th place on the European Tour Order of Merit. That same year, Carter won by Nick Faldo for England at the World Cup.

Since then he has indeed remained winless, but has maintained its full Soielberechtigung in the major European tournament series until 2007.

David Carter is married, has one child and lives in Prague since 2008.
