David Dowlen

David Dowlen ( born February 3, 1960 in Houston, Texas ) is a former American professional tennis player.

Life

Dowlen was 1978 national U.S. junior champion. He studied at the University of Houston and was elected to the best selection of All-American twice. At the University he met the Nigerian student and tennis player Nduka Odizor know who his doubles partner was in the episode. 1983 could both win their first doubles title on the ATP World Tour in Monterrey. The following year was the most successful in her career, she won two doubles titles and were in three other tournaments in the final. In addition Dowlen reached his best individual result with the quarter finals in Cleveland. In 1985 he was the fourth and last joint double title and another finals.
