David Feherty

David Feherty ( born August 13, 1958 in Bangor, Northern Ireland) is a former professional golfer on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. He is currently working as a writer and presenter.

Feherty played mostly in Europe, where he won the European Tour five times, and was also placed twice in the top ten on the European Tour Order of Merit in 1989 and 1990 as tenth eighth. In 1994 and 1995 he went to especially with the PGA Tour, where he earned a second place finish at the New England Classic achieved its best result in 1994. His total prize money amounted to over $ 3 million.

Feherty represented Ireland on several occasions at international competitions, including as team leader of the victorious Alfred Dunhill Cup team in 1990. Moreover Feherty played in 1991 at the Ryder Cup team for Europe.

In 1997, Feherty retired from the European and the PGA Tour and worked as a live reporter and golf analyst for CBS Sports. Feherty also publishes frequently in Golf Magazine and has published in this journal a separate column called sidespin. In the game Tiger Woods PGA Tour by EA Sports, he is seen as an announcer with Gary McCord. He lives with his wife and five children in Dallas.

Feherty had long struggled with depression and alcoholism.

Together with George Lopez was the organizer of the Lopez- Feherty Feherty Foundation Anti -Pro -Am in November 2005.
