David Richard Freese ( born April 28, 1983 in Corpus Christi, Texas) is an American baseball player in the St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball. Freese plays at third base ( " Third Baseman " ), won the World Series with St. Louis in 2011 and was awarded the World Series MVP Award of the final series.

Career

Freese (pronounced " Friess " ) grew up in St. Louis and was in his college days at the University of Missouri a talented shortstop for the local baseball team, the Tigers. When MLB Draft 2006, he was obliged by the San Diego Padres to 273 place, but completed only games in lower class farm team.
