David Fromkin

David Fromkin ( born 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States) is an American lawyer, historian and author.

Life

Fromkin received his university degree of belonging to the University of Chicago, University of Chicago Law School and worked as a lawyer. During the primaries of the Democratic Party in the presidential election of 1972 he was the foreign policy adviser to the candidate Hubert H. Humphrey. As a lawyer, he served the highest U.S. military court both as a consultant for the prosecution as well as advisor to the defense. He was a partner in the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett

Today Fromkin is a professor of history, international relations and law at Boston University. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
