David Grindley

David Allan Grindley ( born October 29, 1972 in Wigan, Greater Manchester ) is a former British athlete and Olympian. At a height of 1.88 m his competition weight was 79 kg.

At the Junior World Championships in 1990 Grindley won with the British 4 x 400 - meter relay silver. In 1991 he won at the European Junior Championships gold in the 400 - meter race and the season.

In 1992, Grindley at the European Indoor Championships bronze in the 400 -meter run. At the Olympic Games in 1992, he improved in the semifinals the British record 44.47 seconds. In the final he was sixth in 44.75 s. In the relay, he ran along with three reigning world champions season in the occupation of Roger Black, David Grindley, Kriss Akabusi and John Regis.
