David H. Bieter

David H. bidder ( born November 1, 1959 in Boise, Idaho ) is an American politician and since January 6, 2004 the mayor of his hometown of Boise. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Bidder grew up in Boise and attended until 1978 the Bishop Kelly High School. He earned a bachelor's degree at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and a law degree from the University of Idaho. He subsequently worked as a lawyer, among others, for the Bonner County, worked as an expert in land use in the prosecutor's office in Ada County and eventually opened a private law firm.

After his parents had come in 1999 in a car accident, he was nominated to succeed his father Pat bidder in the House of Representatives from Idaho. In the years 2000 and 2002, he succeeded each re-election. On January 6, 2004, he joined the successor to the incumbent commissioner Carolyn Tertre Ling- Payne as mayor of Boise, after he had prevailed in the election against Chuck Winder and Vaughn Killeen. In 2007 he succeeded in re-election against Jim Tibbs.

Bidders supports aid projects, such as Catholic Charities of Idaho social action committee. He is married.
