David Hellebuyck

David Hellebuyck ( born May 12, 1979 in Nantua ) is a former French footballer.

Career

Association

Hellebuyck began his professional career in the summer of 1998 at Olympique Lyon. Previously, he was in the youth department Lyons since 1995. He could show off at the Ostfranzosen not. During the winter break of the season 1999/ 00 he therefore moved to EA Guingamp in Ligue 2 at the end of the season the club was top notch. But after only half a year Hellybuyck opted for another change and went to the new season in the Switzerland to Lausanne Sports. Although regular player, he stayed there too long and not moved a year later to France, where he joined the AS Saint -Etienne joined. The ASSE he remained for five years faithful. With it, he was able to celebrate the 2003/ 04 promotion from Ligue 2 in the highest French league. For the season 2006/ 07, there was a player exchange between Saint- Etienne and Paris Saint- Germain. Hellebuyck signed a contract with the Parisian capital club and in turn moved Christophe Landrin to Stéphanois. In summer 2007, he moved to league rivals OGC Nice, for which he ran aground, until he ended his career in the summer of 2012.

National

Hellebuyck was U-18 national team of France. In the U-18 Football Championship in 1997 in Iceland, he was nominated and reached with his team in the final. There, Portugal was defeated by a golden goal 1-0.
