David Linden

David J. Linden ( born November 3, 1961 in Santa Monica ) is an American neurobiologist who teaches at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland as a professor.

Life

David Linden grew up in Santa Monica, California, on. His father was a psychiatrist in Los Angeles, his mother an editor. After completing his schooling at the Santa Monica High School Linden studied at the University of California, Berkeley and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. After his studies he worked at the Swiss pharmaceutical company Hoffmann -La Roche, before he was appointed as a professor of neurobiology at the Johns Hopkins University.

Larger gained fame Linden by several popular scientific publications in the field of neuroscience and brain research, in which he makes the complex processes of neurobiology in a language commonly understood by a wider reading public accessible.

Linden is also chief editor of the neurobiological journal Journal of Neurophysiology.
