David Liss

David Liss (born 1966 in Florida) is an American writer of Jewish faith.

A self-professed vegans lived for a time in San Antonio, Texas, is married and has one child. His studies took him from "BA" at Syracuse University for "MA" at Georgia State University and a doctorate at Columbia University with the research on British literature and culture of the 18th century.

He has published five novels to date. For his debut A Conspiracy of Paper, he received the 2001 Edgar Allan Poe Award and the Barry Award. Starred in two of his books is Benjamin Weaver, the black sheep of a merchant family. His novels are set in the Jewish environment.
