David Nahmad

David Nahmad ( b. 1947 in Beirut ) is a Lebanese- Monegasque Jewish art dealer. He became world champion in backgammon 1996.

Life

Nahmad is a global art dealers and collectors. About Nahmed and his family is in the public do not know much. Older brothers are Joseph and Ezra Nahmad, his son Helly Nahmad passes in New York, the Helly Nahmad Gallery.

David Nahmad became wealthy after his emigration to the West with real estate and banking transactions and according to Forbes is the owner of one of the most important private art collections of classic modern art and impressionist. Nahmad is oriental Jew, großväterlicherseits Sephardic origin.

Since the early 1970s, he exhibited at Art Basel. 2011 showed the art dealer Nahmad family at the Kunsthaus Zurich for the first time in an exhibition part of their collection. The highlight of the exhibition was a work by Pablo Picasso titled Portrait of a woman with an estimated value of 14 million U.S. dollars. His collection includes work in groups of works by Monet, Matisse, Miró and Picasso, the estimate is more than three billion dollars. Nahmad has now pulled out of the daily business.
