David Navarro (footballer)

David Navarro Pedros ( born May 25, 1980 in Puerto Sagunto ) is a Spanish footballer. Since February 2012, he is the Spanish side Levante UD under contract.

Career

Navarro came early in the season 2002/ 03 on youth and amateur in the first team of FC Valencia.

In the first knockout round second leg of the Champions League against Inter Milan in 2007, it came after the final whistle scuffles on the pitch. Navarro stormed it, though not inserted substitutes on the field and broke Milan Nicolás Burdisso with a punch in the nose. He was then banned by UEFA on March 14 for a length of seven months. On 20 March 2007 the lock by FIFA was also extended to all international games, but the lock has been reduced to six months. He later apologized via SMS Burdisso.

For the seasons 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09 he was loaned out to RCD Mallorca. Subsequently, the central defender was playing for two years at FC Valencia and came in about half of all league games for use. In summer 2011, he joined a free transfer in the Swiss Axpo Super League and signed a two -year contract with Neuchatel Xamax. However, this lost already in January 2012, its validity after Xamax the license had been revoked and the first club later filed for bankruptcy little.

February 13, 2012 Navarro signed a contract until the end of the season 2011/12 at the Spanish side Levante UD.
