David Oakes

Rowan David Oakes ( born October 14, 1983 in Hampshire, England ) is a British actor.

Life

David Oakes studied at Manchester University Drama and English and attended from 2005 to 2007, the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His father is a canon of the Church of England.

Oakes began his career on the stage at the Globe Theatre, and has since been an active theater performer. He had a first television role in the BBC series Bonekickers. He also played 2009 in the ITV series Trinity and the documentary series Mind of a Tyrant, which uncovers the truth about Henry VIII.

In 2010 he was seen in the elaborate television miniseries The Pillars of the Earth in the role of the villainous William Hamleigh. In 2011 he portrayed in television production The Borgias the Juan Borgia.
