David Rees Snell

David Rees Snell ( born August 20, 1966 in Wichita, Kansas ) is an American actor.

Life and work

After David Rees Snell early had the desire to become a performer, he attended the State University of Kansas in Lawrence. There he studied theater. In the late 1980s Snell moved to Los Angeles and played in small theaters. There he met Jay Karnes and Shawn Ryan, the inventor of the U.S. television series The Shield - The Shield know which staged one of the plays in which both played along.

When the offers were sparse for him, Snell returned to Wichita and worked in industrial and advertising films. He then moved to Kansas City, where he was able to get a small role in the U.S. TV movie Truman. His dialogue is improvised set, however, was cut out of the film afterwards. 2001 pulled Snell back to Los Angeles because he, despite professional setbacks further wanted to try acting. After he had been involved since the mid- 1990s in a few short films and television, he landed a starring role in the U.S. television series The Shield 2002. Through his role as Detective Ronnie Gardocki restrained he gained greater prominence.

His role, however, was not initially foreseen in the present form. As the U.S. television network FX Networks series took and Shawn Ryan Snell called, this was initially hired as a supporting actor.
