David Schwimmer

David Lawrence Schwimmer ( born November 2, 1966 in New York City ) is an American actor and director.

Life

David Schwimmer was born as a son of Jewish parents in Astoria, a neighborhood in northwest Queens. As a teenager, he attended Beverly Hills High School and discovered his talent as an actor.

He took part in Chicago on a theater program at Northwestern University. In 1988, he and seven other people ( including his best friend and later actor Joey Slotnick ) the Looking Glass Theatre Company in Chicago.

A larger public float known for the role of Ross Geller in the popular television series Friends, which was produced in the period 1994-2004 in ten seasons. Between 1999 and 2004 he directed for ten episodes of the series. As with his colleagues from the show, there were also with him attempts to take next in the film business away. He played during this time some supporting roles, as in Six Days, Seven Nights, and the Stephen King adaptation The model student. He also appeared to continue on in television roles, such as in 2001 in the award-winning miniseries Band of Brothers - Band of Brothers of a U.S. paratrooper unit in World War II.

In 2008, he directed several episodes of the television series Little Britain USA. His first experience as a director he made in 1998 with the staging of the television film Dumber it's always going. Followed in 2004 with Americana his second television work. His first feature film as a director turned float end of 2006 with Run, Fat Boy, Run in London. The film comedy in which participated, among others, Simon Pegg, Hank Azaria and Thandie Newton, launched in September 2007 with great success in British cinemas. In the U.S., the film came in March, according to Germany in April 2008. 2010 he directed the film drama Trust, starring Clive Owen in the lead role.

2005 lent swimmers in the Dreamworks animated film Madagascar Melman the giraffe his voice. In addition, swimmers regularly works at the theater. In 2006, he was on Broadway in The Caine Mutiny to see their fate by Herman Wouk. In 2012, he starred in the play Detroit by Lisa D' Amour. 2013 he directed the Looking Glass Theatre is the premiere of the piece Big Lake Big City by Keith Huff.

Since June 2010 float is married to photographer Zoe Buckman of the British. Together they have one child born in 2011.
