David Scott (Georgia politician)

David Scott ( * June 27, 1946 in Aynor, South Carolina ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. As a member of the House of Representatives he represents since January 3, 2003 13th congressional district of the state of Georgia. He is a member of the inner-party coalition of Blue Dog Democrats.

Biography

Scott studied at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, where he received in 1967 his Bachelor of Arts ( BA). He then studied at the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1969. From 1974 to 1982 he was a member of the House of Representatives from Georgia and was from 1982 until his election in 2002 in the 108th Congress the Senate of Georgia at.
