David Walsh (Journalist)

David Joseph Walsh ( born June 17, 1955) is an Irish sports reporter, executive editor of the London Sunday Times and nonfiction author. In 2001, he revealed that Lance Armstrong was treated by the sport because of offenses guilty spoken Italian doctor Michele Ferrari. Published in 2004, Walsh together with the French reporter Pierre Ballester the book LA confidential - The Secrets of Lance Armstrong doping allegations against Armstrong. It contains allegations by Armstrong's former masseuse, Emma O'Reilly.

Walsh was four times "Sports Writer of the Year" in Ireland; 2013 was awarded an Irish Book Award Seven Deadly Sins as " Sports Book of the Year."
