David Zdrilic

David Allen Zdrilic ( born April 13, 1974 in Sydney, Croatian spelling: David Zdrilić, [ zdrilitɕ ] ) is an Australian football player of Croatian descent.

Association

Zdrilic played several years in the 1st Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga.

In 1998, the striker from FC Aarau to the then second division side SSV Ulm 1846, for which he scored twelve goals in the first season in 33 games with which he ascended to the Bundesliga. In the first division, he played 22 games for Ulm and scored six goals. He was behind the Dutchman Hans van de Haar (ten goals) is the second leading scorer of the team. After the SSV Ulm was descended again after a season Zdrilic moved to SpVgg Unterhaching, for in 16 games he scored einenb matches in the Bundesliga. After the club was relegated in 2001 from the 1st Bundesliga, Zdrilic played the following season seven times in the 2nd Bundesliga.

In 2002 he moved to England to FC Walsall, 2003 to Scotland for the Aberdeen FC. In the summer of 2004 Zdrilic returned to Germany for the second division Eintracht Trier. He played for the club eleven games ( no goals ) and went for personal reasons during the following winter back to Australia. There he signed for Sydney FC in the A-League. After his contract with FC Sydney had expired in early 2009, he joined again at Sydney United, for whom he had already been active from 1993 to 1997.

National

Zdrilic denied in 1997 his first international match for Australia against New Zealand. Meanwhile, there are 30 matches in which he scored 20 goals, including eight goals in the legendary 31:0 against American Samoa on 11 April 2001.
