Dax Shepard

Dax Randall Shepard ( born January 2, 1975 in Milford, Michigan ) is an American actor. He also works as a director and writer.

Life and achievements

Shepard attended Walled Lake Central High School in Walled Lake, Michigan and studied anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He made his debut in the comedy There's Something About Corey from the year 1998. 's Comedy Cheaper by the Dozen (2003 ), he starred opposite Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt and Piper Perabo. For the appearance in the television series Punk'd, in which he improvised on camera, he was nominated in 2003 for the Teen Choice Award.

In the adventure comedy Without a Paddle (2004) he already took one of the major roles, he played a more important role in the fantasy film Zathura - A Space Adventure (2005) by Jon Favreau. In the SF comedy Idiocracy ( 2006), he starred opposite Luke Wilson. In the comedy Employee of the Month (2006) he played the cashier Vince Downey, who is fighting against his colleagues Zack Bradley ( Dane Cook) for the coveted title of Employee of the Month.

After a brief affair with actress Kate Hudson in the summer of 2007, Dax is since November 2007 romantically involved with actress Kristen Bell, with whom he became engaged in December 2009. The couple was expecting a child, what Dax confirmed on November 6, 2012 in The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. End of March 2013 was born their daughter.
