Day camp

Vacation days are a form of child care. It is a service offering that is aimed at school children during the school holidays. Most days have a holiday theme and usually the children commit for at least a week. However, there is also a daily basis bookable offers.

Vacation days are related to camps or summer camps. In contrast, the kids spend the night, the night and the weekends at home. Vacation days are thus a cost-effective alternative to camps that are associated with a trip and a warehouse rented or campground fees.

Are offered days holiday, among others, recreational organizations, churches or tourism providers such as hotels or experience - farms. There are deals to be financed by the state, similar to daycare.

Day vacation outside the tourism industry are currently still a rather novel form of care ( 2007). In principle, however, this form of care is pressing in connection with the issue of combining work and family life and the increasing tendency of women to be working on, especially since the school holidays usually are clearly longer than the holiday weeks granted in the world of work.
